
Michael Spigner has been a member of the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department in Manhasset, NY for the past six years. For three consecutive years, he served as President of the Ambulance Unit, and has been continually involved in training and quality improvement ever since. In 2014, he was named a runner-up for the Nassau County EMS Leadership Award, and in 2011 was named ‘EMT of the Year’ by the American Legion.
Michael is a current EMT-CC, and has completed a wide range of training in prehospital medicine. He has also received training in fire operations, technical rescue, and healthcare leadership for MCIs and CBRNE.
He is presently in his final year of medical school at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine, and will be starting a residency in Emergency Medicine in 2016, with the goal of pursuing an EMS fellowship.
